There were two baby giraffes ... this is the bigger one.
The elephant turned around AFTER I took the picture.
These are meerkats (like Timon from The Lion King).
This bear was actually sleeping like this.
I forget which kind of tigers these are.
The lions were all asleep.
It's a crocogator (I don't remember which it was).
They had a beautiful saltwater aquarium.
There were turtles everywhere.
And tortoises ...
Flamingoes have the weirdest eyes ... they're so light blue they're almost white!
There was an awesome bird exhibit where there
was no barrier between the people and the birds.
The birds were incredibly colorful.
This is a "bleeding heart dove" ... it looks like it's hurt!
This is Liberty, the injured bald eagle who was given a permanent home in the Children's Zoo.
And then there was the freaky smiling
vulture.
Ugly but interesting.
